My latest pet peeve is the "Log in with Google" popup when using a mobile browser.
It seems to have a delay of a couple seconds, so it pops when the page is loaded, and you are starting to scroll. The accept button is directly under where your finger would be.

So I saw a decent price on refurbished 12TB enterprise drives on Ebay. Grabbed a couple for my home server. The plan was to move the OS to a SSD, use one of the 12TB drives for data, and the second as a storage bin for network backups. I will be moving the mobo and drives into a full sized ATX case.

Unfortunately, proprietary hardware has thrown a monkey wrench into the works. My server is an HP Elitedesk 800 G1. The power connector is proprietary, so I have ordered an adapter. The heatsink is a non-standard proprietary size. Also, the computer will refuse to boot and will need intervention after each reboot unless you jumper both internal USB headers and sound.

Thankfully, other folks have figured all this stuff out. I was hoping to get started moving partitions around today, but it will have to wait until the power adapter arrives.

For the most part, my new hub is up and running. Old posts imported, the files I wish to keep are uploaded. Contacts re-added. Still deciding if I want to enable Diaspora again.

Once I have confirmed all is OK this weekend, I will probably deactivate hubz.secretlair.me

It looks like I broke my Hubzilla server in a way that will require more troubleshooting time than I have.
Since Streams doesn't have a Wiki app yet, I think I'm going to do a fresh Hubzilla install in a subdomain, and migrate my account over. I have never messed with the nomadic features of Hz, so this should be fun.

Making a little progress. New server set up. My old server must have has issues with the last major update, so I can't use the migration feature of Hubzilla. Manually importing old posts still worked though.

Been playing with the new Beta 4 release of Haiku OS. It finally boots on QEMU VM for me, as well as on my Chromebook that I use for work. The only thing not working on the Chromebook was the trackpad, which is a shame.

Stepped outside to take the garbage out. Had to stop and admire the moon for awhile. Gorgeous night!

Destiny 2 cross platform test

Was reading up on the newest Destiny 2 patch, and saw that cross platform play was finally available.

My daughter plays via Steam, and I on Xbox. After adding each other as friends, I was able to join her as if she was another Xbox player. The only downside so far is the lack of cross platform voice chat. Fortunately we are near each other, and can yell :-P

Next, we are going to see if it will allow a three way party between xcloud, Xbox , and Steam.

Unable to view images in Files app

I have run into an issue on my hub involving the Files app and image files.
In the past, I could click on the name of an image, and it would display the image in the browser. Now, I get the error:

"This page isnâ€™t working
hubz.secretlair.me redirected you too many times.
Try clearing your cookies.
ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS"

This is how it looks in the debug log:

In the Photos app, the all images are visible, and work as they always have.

I had noticed that PHP-FPM was now running as the Apache user instead of what it used to be. I reset it, but nothing appeared to change. Ill keep looking, I think you may be right :)

I had the same problem and it turned out that at some point the required nginx configuration changed. There used to be a regex route redirecting image and other (something like "jpg|png|...") file suffixes. This is not required anymore and can be removed. I'm not on my laptop but if required I can look up the details later.
